Liverpool University Press Press are pleased to announce that Queen’s University Belfast is a new subscribing member to their Opening the Future programme.

The library has boosted their local collection by subscribing to the Modern Languages package.

This means that staff and students now have unlimited and concurrent access to 37 different eBooks on subjects including: Hispanic and lusophone culture, language, history and socio-political studies.

As with all Opening the Future members, Queen’s University Belfast has enhanced their eBook collection with titles relevant to the university’s research and teaching needs - and at the same time their membership fees are funding new frontlist titles in OA format so that everyone, including their users, will benefit from the global open collection it contributes to.

Through the generous support of member libraries like them all over the world, Liverpool University Press has already been able to publish several new OA books (with more funded and planned) which are freely available for download from Project MUSE, OAPEN, JSTOR and other open platforms. You can read about, and access, all the OA books on the progress page: https://lup.openingthefuture.net/forthcoming/

If you would like to see how your library might similarly enhance your digital collection by becoming a member of Opening the Future, you can read more about the programme, and sign up in just a few clicks at lup.openingthefuture.net or sign up directly via Lyrasis or Jisc through your normal invoicing workflow.
